Ever since last year’s homecoming dance, best-friends-turned-worst-enemies Zorie and Lennon have made an art of avoiding each other. It doesn’t hurt that their families are the modern-day version of the Montagues and Capulets. But when a group camping trip goes south, Zorie and Lennon find themselves stranded in the wilderness. Alone. Together. Zorie and Lennon have no choice but to try to make their way to safety. But as the two travel deeper into the rugged Californian countryside, secrets and hidden feelings surface. Soon it’s not simply a matter of enduring each other’s company, but taming their growing feelings for each other.

The Starry Eyes blog tour begins today with the publication of the book and my review along with so many excellent bloggers. Check out the rest of the tour stops here! Now, put down whatever you’re currently reading and grab a copy of Starry Eyes immediately because I promise you’ll have an adorable and hilarious time with this book. I stayed up way too late reading this book because I just didn’t want to put it down and I loved every minute of it. There’s humour, drama, adventure and so much romance to love!

Zorie and Lennon were once best friends and inseparable until the homecoming dance when they became instant enemies and started steering clear of each other for different reasons. Like the modern-day Montagues and Capulets, their parents are also completely not on speaking terms after Lennon’s parents opened up an adult shop next to Zorie’s family business and they started losing customers quickly. With all the tension between their families there seem to be endless reasons for Zorie and Lennon to avoid each other but somehow they’ve been thrown together and the secrets are unfolding.

This was my first book from Jenn Bennett but I’m definitely going to go back and read her previous books because I adore her writing style now. I loved the comedic wit and attraction between the two main characters that built up throughout the story. The number of times I smiled into this book was so ridiculous because I just couldn’t contain my joy with all the cute stuffed into it. I also loved reading about Zorie and her group going on this camping trip because it will really give you the urge to pack a bag and get out into the beautiful outdoors to a big adventure with a telescope. Starry Eyes is a fantastic new read out now and I wholeheartedly recommend this book to any lovers of Young Adult, especially those who love contemporary and romance!

(Thank you to Simon & Schuster for including my blog in the blog tour and release of Starry Eyes as well as sending a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.)

  1. Wasn’t it brilliant! I’ve read all of her YA releases now and you’re in for such a ride Kirra! I loved that Lennon’s mothers were open about sex, the sex shop made for so many lighthearted moments and the window displays were hilarious! Her books are always feel great reads.
